Service overview

Packaging Inspection Range for real production lines.

MCM has developed packaging systems around recurring corrugated-board production problems. The documented range includes Check Inversion, Curvature Meter, Crease Meter, Industrial Scanner, the Unglued Detector and dedicated gap or bend measurements.

Depending on the application, the solution can combine image references, OCR and barcode decoding, 3D laser triangulation, linear cameras, controlled lighting, configurable I/O, encoder-based timing, production-order tracking and artificial-intelligence classification.

The documented software layer can include product databases, manufacturing codes, production history, test configuration, user management, camera control, rejection images and communication with management software.

What this service solves

  • Inverted or incorrect boards entering converting equipment
  • Unglued, misaligned, crush, resonance or other process defects in the corrugator
  • Print, registration, colour or dimensional variation
  • Stack curvature, in-line bend and crease-quality variation that require objective measurement
  • Gap variation before palletising or final handling

How MCM builds the solution

01

Check Inversion for orientation, barcode/OCR, registration and related case-maker checks

02

Encoder-timed warning, stop or reject actions where the production machine must react to an inspection result

03

Unglued Detector with linear cameras, controlled lighting and defect classification

04

Curvature and in-line bend measurement using laser/camera geometry

05

Crease Meter, Industrial Scanner and gap inspection for repeatable offline or end-of-process quality control

Packaging software & process control

Inspection is connected to product data and machine action.

Documented packaging systems can use product databases, manufacturing codes, production history, configurable test settings, encoder timing and digital I/O. Depending on the machine, a failed result can warn the operator, stop the process or trigger a reject action.

Project workflow

From feasibility to commissioning and support.

The process is designed to reduce technical risk before the full investment and to keep the production team involved from the first samples to the final acceptance.

01

Sample review

MCM reviews the product, acceptable defects, bad samples, speed, environment and rejection rules.

02

Technical concept

The team defines acquisition, sensors, mechanics, cabinet, safety and software architecture.

03

Construir y validar

The system is built and validated with real products before delivery to the customer site.

04

Comisión y apoyo

MCM installs, trains operators, tunes the system and remains available for fast support.

Preguntas frecuentes

Questions before starting this service.

Can MCM inspect inside a corrugator?

Yes. The documented Unglued Detector is designed for installation inside the corrugator and can exchange production information with the line.

What line speed is documented for the Unglued Detector?

The available MCM packaging documentation specifies a maximum speed of 300 m/min and a maximum inspection size of 3 metres for that system configuration.

Can packaging systems connect to production data?

Yes. Several documented systems exchange production-order, variety, stack or result information with management or production systems.
