Prepare the application

Two products that look similar can require very different inspection methods. Surface finish, tolerance, colour variation, line speed and product presentation all influence the camera, lighting, mechanics and software.

Show the product. A clear photo helps us understand geometry, material and presentation.

Explain the defect. Include what is acceptable, what must fail and how the decision is used.

Add line context. Approximate dimensions, speed and traceability needs are useful even at an early stage.
